That is the thinking behind Thekan Ergonomic Solutions. Our work focuses on how people use their workspace, with attention to posture, comfort and the way furniture fits into the working environment. We design, manufacture and supply ergonomic furniture for businesses and institutions, with solutions that can be adapted to the space available.
We can work with an existing office layout or help develop a furniture arrangement around the way the space needs to function. Workstations can be supplied as single or multi-seater units, with electric or manual adjustment where required. The range also includes ergonomic chairs, sit-stand tables, flex desks and accessories such as monitor arms and CPU holders.
Our manufacturing work is supported by Thekan's Nigerian factory, where the company has industrial machinery and a local workforce. Thekan's materials also describe capabilities covering design, quality control, research and development, production, installation and maintenance.
This gives us room to do more than simply supply furniture. Where a project calls for something specific, we can work from the requirements and produce a solution suited to the space.

Thekan's ergonomic business is supported by relationships with established furniture manufacturers, including Group Lacasse, 9 to 5 Seating and Humanscale. These partnerships give us access to established ergonomic products while our own manufacturing capability allows us to develop and supply solutions suited to specific requirements.
One of these relationships is with KI, which has recognised Thekan as an authorised provider for its products in Africa and described Thekan as a valuable business partner on the continent.
Ergonomics should make sense in the real workplace.
That means considering how a person sits, works, moves and interacts with the equipment around them. Thekan's approach has been to combine this understanding with furniture that can be adjusted or configured to suit different users and spaces.
The result is a workplace that is easier to use and more comfortable throughout the working day.
Our ergonomic work includes the WAGPCO project, where Thekan completed the production and installation of a 14-seater office workstation together with ergonomic chairs in June 2020.
